End-assembly weaving machines
In final assembly, a high-precision weaving machine is created in less than two weeks from over 1,500 components and pre-assembled electrical and mechanical assemblies. Individually configured weaving machines from the P2 (rapier) and A2 (air) product families pass through the same assembly line at 17 stations and 16 pre-assembly stations. In addition to the weft insertion (air or rapier), there are differences in the installation space or the reed beat-up force, for example. Rapier weaving machines require up to 20 % more assembly time than air-jet weaving machines. A targeted assembly sequence ensures even capacity utilization. Special equipment is installed in pre-assembly to guarantee a smooth cycle. This model-mix assembly enables flexible adaptation to customer requirements.
