The PROTOS® TW processes composite tapes into high-strength fabrics, such as those used in the automotive industry or in the sports sector. Particularly practical: This machine can be used together with the PROTOS® TP Tape Production Line – one system produces the tapes, the other one proceeds to realize a tape-woven fabric. This is ideal for continuous production.

Zero Twist weft insertion
Thanks to special DORNIER technologies, the weft tape always remains precisely aligned and is inserted into the fabric without twisting. This is achieved by the DORNIER Zero Twist Feeder, the Zero Twist delivery and the specially developed tape rapier head.
Mono rapier – powerful and precise
A particularly stable rapier with a specially developed tape rapier head inserts the tape across the full width of the machine. This ensures a homogeneous processing, even of very stiff and wide materials.
Versatile in use
The PROTOS® TW tape weaving machine produces fabrics that are used in very different areas – for example in vehicle components or sports equipment. This makes it a real allrounder for modern composite applications.
Securely cut, precisely wound
Each tape is cut in a defined position with special rotating weft scissors. The electronic fabric winder then ensures that the fabric is wound up precisely and with a defined adjustable tension – for a perfect end product.
