Technical textiles with our DORNIER Weaving Machine system family

For 75 years, DORNIER has been shaping the art of weaving. What began in the 1950s with our very first weaving looms has grown into today’s modular system family of advanced rapier and air-jet weaving machines.
Founded in 1950 by Peter Dornier, son of aviation pioneer Claude Dornier, the company has always stood for innovation, precision, and quality “Made in Germany.” The introduction of the world’s first shuttleless rapier machine in 1967 marked a turning point in textile history – and that pioneering spirit still drives us today.
Our machines are more than technology: they are built to last. Known as the “Green Machine,” they combine exceptional longevity, sustainability, and reliability – trusted worldwide for producing high-quality technical textiles.
As we celebrate our 75th anniversary, we look back with pride and forward with excitement – continuing to weave the future, together with our customers.
