Efficient embroidery weaving with DORNIER
ORW technology enables additional threads to be integrated in the weaving process. Special thread guides are arranged between the reed and the weaving shafts. Linear drives shift the thread guides horizontally on a profile depending on the pattern. The additional pattern threads create a filling effect on the fabric surface that can be controlled as desired. This filling effect is similar to embroidery and Scherli patterns. ORW technology therefore provides manufacturers of domestic textiles (e.g. curtains, tablecloths), clothing (e.g. dresses, trousers) and technical textiles (e.g. seat heaters, partial reinforcements) with much greater flexibility and many more pattern options..
