The heart of the DORNIER PS rapier weaving machine is the open shed filling insertion with positive controlled thread transfer in the fabric center. This unique filling insertion system works on the principle of human hands and fulfills the highest requirements of today's market: The PS rapier weaving machine processes almost all yarn types without any problems and produces first quality fabrics with even the most difficult yarns. It is characterized by an immensely wide application range: The PS rapier weaving machine is suitable for high quality silk materials for upholstery with 16 filling colors and Jacquard machines with up to 20,000 lifting hooks as well as technical fabrics such as carbon for composite materials, coated open mesh fabrics with the coarsest yarn counts in warp and filling and densities of less than 0.5 threads/cm.

Easy to operate and very versatile

DORNIER has continually developed the rapier weaving machine: The machine has become ever more flexible and easier to operate so that it can be quickly adapted to any style. The DORNIER PS rapier weaving machine is available with the following shedding devices:

• As dobby machine with maximum 28 heald frames
• As Jacquard machine with up to 20 000 lifting hooks
• As cam machine with up to 10 heald frames

• With EasyLeno^® technology or in combination with Jacquard as MultiPattern machine
