Films for LCD display in flat-screen monitors and mobile telephones, photo and X-ray films, graphic films, electro-insulation and special films for technical applications, condensator films, packaging films for foodstuffs and hygiene products as well as audio, video and computer tapes. All these materials represent the DORNIER technology. The Lindauer DORNIER GmbH has been developing and producing film stretching machines since 1955 and these now comprise about one third of installations world-wide. Film stretching machines are normally made according to customer demands and then integrated in film production plants. Product range Apart from film stretching machines, DORNIER also supplies complete production lines. The manufacturing program includes chill roll units, longitudinal stretching machines, transverse stretching and heat setting machines, post stretchers, take-up devices and transfer sections as well as extrusion systems and nowadays more and more complete lines. Other components for completion of production lines, such as winders and slitters, are procured from other suppliers. Application areas Most of the DORNIER stretching machines delivered are used to manufacture polyester and polypropylene films but others are also used also to stretch polyamide, polystyrol, PVC, polymerized polyethylene, PEN and other thermoplastic materials.
